open source analyst
- Have deep Open Source Intelligence subject matter expertise or education in politics, leadership, health, culture, religion, international relations, economics, energy, counterproliferation, cyber threats, counternarcotics, military, science and technology, counterterrorism, or media of a particular country or region.
- Experience evaluating media sources, conducting research, synthesizing and summarizing findings, and writing reports in English.
- Significant experience with research on publicly available information, including social media exploitation, focused knowledge of particular media environments.
- Excellent computer skills, including MS Office and Excel, to be able to produce written products (to include datasets) and sufficient Internet skills to conduct advanced internet research.
- Ability to work independently and as a contributor to a virtual team.
- Strong organizational skills, initiative, time-management skills, and attention to detail.
- Effective communicator both in writing and verbally.
- Professional-level proficiency in a foreign language (ILR 3/3+ or higher).
